First Page First Friday May 3, Noon to 1:30 p.m. Getting ready to pitch an agent, editor or publication? Or just want to hear yourself read your piece? Bring the first page of your chapter, query, story, etc. Read it aloud and get feedback from other writers.

 

Monday Morning Mixers Mondays in May 8-9 a.m. Bring your coffee and your breakfast. Celebrate your accomplishments on the page or screen. Ask your peers for advice. Share your writing goals and challenges for the day or the week. (Every Monday.)

 

Writing to Prompts/Fiction Tuesdays, 2-3 p.m. We write together, apart. We give a prompt. You write like mad for 15 minutes. And then we do it again and again. Feel free to stay longer and share your work. Or keep your work to yourself and add it to your collection of interesting stuff for later. (Every Tuesday.)

 

Fourth Friday Happy Hour May 22, 5-6 p.m. Mix your favorite beverage and meet some new writer friends. It's a great way to connect while social distancing!

 

Writing Me(moir) Wednesday, May 13, 12:30-2 p.m. Memoirists, personal essayists and more share your work, your ideas, your challenges and your lunch in this informal, writer-led gathering. (Second Wednesday of each month.)

 

What's Cooking? Writing Moms/Dads meet up. Thursday, May 14, 5-6 p.m. Writing parents: Share your challenges and your goals. Yes, feel free to hop on while you're making dinner. (Second Thursday of each month.)

 

Weekly Write-Ins Wednesdays, 9-10:30 a.m.; Sundays, 3-4:30 p.m. Introduce yourself in one sentence without a lot of punctuation, state your writing goal in one sentence without a lot of punctuation, and then write. All genres welcome. (Every Sunday and Every Wednesday. Note, you will need a separate Zoom invitation for Sunday and Wednesday.)

 

Plotters Tuesday, May 12, noon to 1. Fiction writers: Bring your ideas, your work, your challenges and your lunch and gather with your brethren to discuss your pieces. (Second Tuesday of each month.)

Freelancer Friday, May 8, 8-9 a.m. Want to swap contacts? Complain about your editors? Share best strategies? Solve a problem? This is the place to do it. (Second Friday of each month.)

 

Literary Game Night, Thursday, May 21. 7-9 p.m. A Lab favorite.Your host, writer and Lab member Evan Pagano, presents a rousing evening of trivia, charades and more -- all centered around books and authors and all things books, from classics to contemporary. You'll laugh so hard your face will hurt. (Third Thursday of each month.)
